Hi, I’m Jenny and I live in Southeastern Michigan, right between Ann
Arbor and Detroit with my husband Shane our boys, Brandon and
Parker. Let me tell you a little about me and my family and how
Australian Labradoodles came into our lives.
In March 2001 my son, Brandon, was diagnosed with Acute
Lymphoblastic Leukemia and after being on chemotherapy for almost 3
years he developed allergies. As it turned out he was very allergic
to our Golden Retriever, Chance. So Brandon lived on allergy med's
until April 2009 when Chance passed away. We have always had a dog
and knew we’d need another; this is how we came to find out about Labradoodles.
We bought our first Australian Labradoodle, Cosmos, in July 2009,
just as a family pet. I knew immediately that breeding Labradoodles
was going to be something I did one day; I just never thought it’d
be this soon!! I did a ton of research on the breed of these
incredible dogs before even buying Cosmos, then once I decided to go
ahead and start breeding, I was full force into research mode.
Brandon has been cancer-free for 7 years and due to his illness we
came into contact with a lot of wonderful organizations that help
families on a regular basis and we here at Labradoodle Dreams plan
on picking one organization a year, starting with the ones that have
helped us, and donating a dog through their fundraiser, or donating
the funds of a dog to that organization. If you’d like you can visit
these sites who are always looking for donations,
Special Days,
Children’s Leukemia Foundation of MI,
The Rainbow Connection, and
Children’s Hospital of Michigan (Oncology Department).
I started my breeding program with my beautiful chocolate spiral
fleece coated female, Izzy, and it has quickly grown from there. Our
Labradoodles really are the Perfect Dog. They are smart, easy to
train, awesome with kids, intuitive, little to NO dog odor, and they
are mostly non‐shedding and this is great for us, because they are
reducing the allergies we had in our own house.
Our Labradoodles are our pets, they live with us in our house; they
are part of our family, or they are part of our Guardian Program and
are living with their forever family now while they still come here
to breed. I truly hope an Australian Multi Generation Labradoodle
will bring as much happiness and laughter to your life as they have
to ours! I look forward to hearing from you!!
