The Deposit and Payment Process

If you are interested in one of our outstanding puppies, please fill out our Adoption Application. We will contact you within 48 hours of receiving your application. Once your application has been accepted and you would like to reserve a spot on our waiting list, please send a non-refundable deposit of $300 made payable to Jenny Sennett using a check, cash, money order or through PayPal.

Our F1b’s are $1800 and our Australian Labradoodles are $2500. Deposits and all partial payments will of course go towards the full cost per Puppy. Click to use PayPal.

When the puppies are born, we will be confirming everyone on the waiting list for that litter and once you have confirmed your second deposit of $1000 is due. During week 5-6, when you send back in your Contract, the balance for the litter you have requested is due at this time.

·         If you are on the list for an F1b your balance due is $500.

·         If you are on the list for an Australian Labradoodle your balance due is $1200.

If there is not a suitable puppy available in the litter you requested your deposit will be transferred to the next appropriate litter. If there is no puppy available in the second litter, you may transfer to the next litter of your choice or request a refund of your deposit.

What Happens When the Puppies Are Born?

A few days after the puppies are born, we will then begin using the Early Neurological Stimulation the Rules of 7's canine stimulation and Super Dogs adapted from the Monks of Skeet training methods. We typically follow this for the first 14-16 days. We do this to increase stimuli and it is designed to help the puppies deal with life's stresses.

We will be posting weekly photos, video and information about the puppies and responding to any questions. Each puppy will have a color coded collar and you will be able to see who is who and you will start to get an appreciation of each puppy’s temperament, physical characteristics and playful manners.

During weeks 1-2 your puppy will go to the vet for their first check up and started their deworming which continues every 2 weeks through week 8. Your puppy will visit the vet a minimum of 3 times to ensure their health while here with us here at Labradoodle Dreams.

During weeks 3-4, we will ask you to pick the gender of the puppy; we won’t be able to make changes once we have this information from you.

Once your final payment is received we will send out your puppy starter kit with the information on the food your puppy is currently eating, along with our health guarantee for you to sign and return and a few other goodies for you and your new pup.

Between weeks 6 & 7 the puppies are assessed for things like sociability, trainability, sensitivities, cooperativeness, assertiveness & energy level and the allocation to the families is decided. We have a professional Animal Behaviorist come in and asses the puppies and together we match each puppy to each application. Since we live with the puppies and have the opportunity to see the puppies in many different situations, we ask that families be open to gender and color. We find families occasionally have their hearts set on one certain thing but really, there may be other puppies whose temperaments may be better matched for their family. This is why we do NOT decide who gets what puppy before this point. This decision is based on the puppies’ personalities and the questionnaire we have you fill out about your family and lifestyle. We pick 1-2 puppies that will fit with each family’s lifestyle & requests, and then we go from there. Once allocation is decided, you will be invited to come visit your puppy.

Between weeks7 & 8 the puppies receive their microchip and are de-sexed. Early Spay & Neuter (ESP) at this age has a much faster recovery time and the puppy is able to recover in the comfortable surroundings with their mom and litter mates. Please read more about ESP on our site. I’d be happy to answer any questions you may have. At week 8 they receive their first set of shots, this is a series of 4 that you will continue with your vet. You will also receive a vet record with your puppy to give to your vet at pick up or shipping. You can expect that while the puppy is with us they will receive the best care possible. We are committed to giving our puppies the best start physically, socially and mentally. We will begin crate training, leash training and basic potty training with the puppies.

Coming Home

Your puppy will be coming home to you, its Forever Home, between weeks 8 & 9. If you want your puppy shipped to you, there is a (domestic) shipping charge of $250-350 depending on the size and weight of the puppy being shipped. We will need to set that up between weeks 6 & 7. The shipping charge includes airfare, shipping crate, and a veterinarian’s health certificate that the puppy is able to fly. Another option is you flying in pick up your puppy, and then taking him back with you in the cabin, you may find this to be a better price for you or better peace of mind. This is a really great option for a lot of people. I am happy to meet you at the Detroit Metro Airport (DTW) with your puppy if you choose this option.

We can deliver your puppy and meet you at your closest major airport for $400 and your puppy will fly in the cabin with us, as opposed to cargo. This would need to be set up between weeks 5 & 6, this depends more on my schedule to fly out and the size of the puppy flying. Another option we offer is personal driving delivery, f you live within 500 miles of us and need delivery we charge $100 for 150 mile radius of Livonia, $200 for 300 miles and $300 for 500 miles. This personal service is to insure the safety of our puppies and the cost will include our gas and hotel expense. Please contact us if this is something you’d be interested in.

We try to find the best price and arrange the trip to fit your schedule as best we can. The shipping fee includes the airfare, the shipping crate (which you keep and can use for potty training) and a health clearance certificate from our Vet. We do not make a profit on any shipping costs.

What You Will Need To Do

Labradoodles are known for being highly intelligent dogs but they are not perfect nor are they ready made house dogs. Unfortunately, we cannot guarantee that your puppy will be highly intelligent or perfect but we can guarantee them to be healthy and lovable.  Proper training and time are necessary in order for your Doodle to become the wonderful pet you’re hoping for.We highly encourage puppy classes at a minimum for basic training. We also encourage the use of a crate; your puppy will be started on crate training here at Labradoodle Dreams. If you have any questions about the use of a crate or training please ask! We are always here to help.

You will need to set up a vet appointment at your vet to check the puppy within 72 hours of departing our home as mentioned in our contract. Pleaseemail mefor a copy of our Contract and Health Guarantee.
